Studio Location

56 Maine Street, Brunswick, ME. We are on the Second Floor- accessed by stairs shared by Residential Mortgage. We are to the left of Frosty's Donuts a Brunswick landmark. Hours are by appointment only. We do not accept walk-ins.

Meet the Owners

Nan MacKinnon, LMT

Nan established Massage on Maine in 2012, where she crafted personalized, therapeutic experiences for each client. Though Nan's physical presence is no longer with us, she leaves behind a legacy of healing and compassion. Her initial training and certification in 1987 was from Dr. Jay Scherer’s Academy Of Natural Healing and The Connective Tissue Polarity Institute, both in Santa Fe New Mexico. She studied massage techniques and the healing arts in Thailand, Cambodia, Nepal and Japan.

Nan owned and operated private massage practices in Santa Fe, New Mexico and San Francisco, California before returning home to New England to open Massage On Maine with her husband. Today, Massage on Maine stands as a testament to Nan's dedication, continuing to offer solace and healing in Nan's memory.

Abi Maldonado, LMT

Abi started his massage training in San Francisco California. He specializes in a treatment of combining Deep Tissue techniques with Traditional Thai massage stretching. It creates length and flexibility that feels amazing! Abi is an avid soccer player and works with many Bowdoin College athletes recovering from injuries or improving their game by creating greater flexibility. His work is both gentle and strong. He specializes in Ashiatsu; a full body massage that is done with his feet. It distributes even compression in all the muscle groups and releases deeply held tension within the body. This form of massage is a must try.
